TIL Desk/World/Lahore/ Pakistan has arrested Mumbai terror attack mastermind and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed and sent him to judicial custody. Saeed was arrested on Wednesday when he was on his way to Gujranwala from Lahore.
The Imran Khan government has been under pressure from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to act against terror outfits and terrorists operating out of Pakistan.
On Monday, Saeed and three aides were granted pre-arrest bail by an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan, which stopped police from arresting them till August 3 in a land grabbing case for a seminary.
In February, Pakistan banned Saeed-led Jamat-ud-Dawah and its charity wing Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation, amid intense global pressure to rein in the militant groups following the Pulwama terror attack that killed 41 Central Reserve Police Force soldiers.
