TIL Desk/National/Una/ Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a Bulk Drug Park in Una district during his visit to poll-bound Himachal Pradesh.
He also dedicated to the nation the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)-Una and flagged off the inaugural run of the new Vande Bharat Express from Amb Andaura in Una district to New Delhi.
“The festival of Diwali has arrived early for Una and Himachal Pradesh. Today I flagged off the inaugural run of the new Vande Bharat train. This is the 4th Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country,” Narendra Modi said.
“Development of rural roadways, availability of water supply & healthcare facilities along with progress in digital infrastructure has always been the top priority of the government. New India is overcoming the challenges of the past and growing rapidly,” the PM added. He added that medicines will become cheaper when both raw materials and production will take place in Himachal Pradesh. Modi laid the foundation stone of the Bulk Drug Park at Haroli which will be built at a cost of more than Rs 1,900 crore.
