Set against the backdrop of Prayagraj, the show focuses on the journey of Maitree (Shrenu Parikh) and her soul sister, Nandini (Bhaweeka Chaudhary). While the two best friends have been inseparable since their childhood, it seems that life has its own plans for their friendship. With a quirk of fate, today, they are seen at loggerheads with each other. What could have possibly transpired that these soul sisters turned against each other? To promote this intriguing show which has opened up to a great response from TV audiences, the lead actress of the show, Shrenu Parikh visited Lucknow today. Produced by Sunshine Productions and Tell a Tale Media, ‘Maitree’ airs every day at 7 pm, only on Zee TV.
Shrenu’s character Maitree is a simple and down-to-earth girl whose beauty lies in her simplicity. In fact, she has a child-like innocence with an infectious positive energy that makes everyone feel happy around her. A multi-tasker by nature, she manages an event management company in Prayagraj while maintaining a steady balance between relationships and work. But when it comes to Nandini, she keeps her above everyone else.
Talking about her visit to Lucknow, Shrenu mentioned,“I am very happy to play the role of Maitree and it being my first show on Zee TV, I am really looking forward to this new journey. My character is a very simple, headstrong and well balanced girl, she is a multi-tasker and manages an event management company in Prayagraj. Today, I have come to the city of Nawabs to promote our show ‘Maitree’ and to take blessings and love from the audience here. I am also going to explore some amazing street food like Chaat, Poori-Kachori, and Malai Makhan, and shop for some of Lucknow’s famous chikankari outfits.”
The show also includes a powerful ensemble cast including actors like Bhaweeka Chaudhary, Namish Taneja, Zaan Khan and Ananya Khare in pivotal roles. In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness how after a lot of introspection and deliberation, Maitree will finally get married to Saaransh (Zaan Khan).
