TIL Desk Lucknow/ Ganeshotsav is being celebrated all across the country and the atmosphere is surcharged with celebration and devotion. To ignite the spirit of the celebration, an Eco-Friendly Ganesha making workshop with clay was organised at Shalimar Gateway Mall on 23rd of September that witnessed the participation of 500 kids all under one roof. Among the 500 kids, 120 kids were from a NGO, who got a wonderful opportunity to learn and showcase their artistic skills. The eco-friendly idol making workshop was organised to introduce children to the art of crafting Ganesha idols using locally sourced clay.
Children not only learnt the creative process of working with clay, but also immersed themselves in captivating Ganesha stories. Young learners enthusiastically took part in the workshop and made beautiful Ganesh idols using clay while decorating it very creatively. The Kids learnt a new form of art ,love for nature and understanding the importance of recycling and reusing. The atmosphere was surcharged with creativity and celebration.
Mr. Kunal Seth, Director Shalimar Corp. commenting on the successful workshop said ” We believe it’s important to instil the idea of going green to the present generation and talk to them about combining the passion for planting trees and making eco-friendly idols at home. Through this event the young leaders will be encouraged to promote an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi and the idea of ecological balance and to reduce pollution.”
