TIL Desk Lucknow/ Medanta Lucknow’s Neonatology and Child Development Center, led by Dr. Akash Pandita, organized a one-day Newborn Ventilation Workshop for pediatricians from across India on Sunday. The workshop aimed to provide skill training and updates on the latest advancements in newborn ventilation.
The workshop was attended by 120 doctors, reflecting Medanta Lucknow’s ongoing commitment to improving newborn care through regular training programs for doctors and nurses. “It is our duty to share the latest advancements, knowledge, and skills in this field to improve newborn care in the state and across the country,” said Dr. Akash Pandita, Head of the Department. UNICEF’s Dr. Kanupriya Singhal was also present on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the Medanta team.
Medanta Lucknow’s Neonatology Department has a Level 4 Advanced NICU. The department has a dedicated newborn ambulance equipped with a transport incubator and a high-level ventilator. These facilities ensure the safe transport and best treatment of critically ill babies. The department also performs cardiac surgeries on newborns with positive exceptional outcomes in collaboration with the CVTS department.
Other faculty members present at the workshop included Prof. SN Singh, Dr. Sanjay Niranjan, Dr. Prashant Arora, Dr. Abhishek Bansal, Dr. Anurag Katiyar, Dr. Shalini Tripathi, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar, Dr. MU Hasan, Dr. Salman Khan, Dr. Sachin Verma, Dr. Ankur Gupta, Dr. Manu Pratap, Dr. Utkarsh Bansal, Dr. Rana, and Dr. Rahul. Medanta Hospital Lucknow’s Level 4 NICU facility is equipped with the most modern equipment in the entire state and is prepared to cater to newborns across Uttar Pradesh.
