TIL Desk Lucknow:👉Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to captivate audiences with his latest ZEE5 Original film, ‘Rautu Ka Raaz.’ In a bid to connect with his fans and build anticipation for the movie’s release, the actor visited the City of Nawabs, Lucknow, on June 19th. During his visit to the police headquarters in Lucknow, Nawazuddin, who plays a police officer on screen, met with real-life police officers. He interacted with DGP Prashant Kumar, the PRO, and inspectors, sharing experiences and insights on portraying the role of a cop. Produced by Zee Studios and Phat Phish Records and directed by Anand Surapur, Rautu Ka Raaz also features Rajesh Kumar, Atul Tiwari and Narayani Shastri in supporting roles and is set against the picturesque village of Rautu Ki Beli in Uttarakhand. The film had its Gala Premiere at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) last year where it received a warm welcome and is now set for its OTT premiere on 28th June.
The film revolves around the mysterious death of a warden at a blind school in Rautu Ki Beli, a sleepy town which hasn’t witnessed a murder in over a decade and a half. This is where SHO Deepak Negi aka Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his team step in as they are tasked with solving this rare and high-profile murder investigation. The film showcases a unique and jovial camaraderie between SHO Deepak Negi (played by Nawazuddin) and sub inspector Dimri (played by Rajesh Kumar) who are forced out of their lazy state of being owing to this murder investigation. So, get ready to witness a mystery thriller unraveling the laziest murder investigation ever.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared his excitement about the film’s release and his visit to Lucknow, stating, “I am thrilled to come to Lucknow to promote my next film, Rautu Ka Raaz. In this film, I will be seen playing the role of Police Officer Deepak Negi, who is is tasked with solving a rare and a high-profile murder investigation in a sleepy and laid-back town of Rautu Ki Beli. The pace of the film is inspired by this small town and hence it is the story of a smart cop in a lazy murder investigation. It’s an interesting film with a surprising twist and will be soon available on ZEE5 across 190+ countries”.
