Underprivileged Children from Slums Display Exceptional Talent at the Fashion Show organised in Lucknow
TIL Desk Lucknow:👉NFCD Limited and Green View Solar Solutions Private Limited came together to host the spectacular ‘Global Awards of UP-2024’ and ‘Global Runway Fashion Week’. The event showcased national and international models strutting the runway in stunning outfits designed by the talented students of Government Polytechnic Lucknow, blending glamour with homegrown creativity.
The event took place on Saturday at The Regnant Hotel in Nirala Nagar, Lucknow, under the leadership of organizer Samarendra Pratap Singh (Executive Director, NFCD). Various distinguished personalities who have made significant contributions in different social fields were honored at the ceremony.
Additionally, underprivileged children from slum areas also participated in the fashion show, showcasing their remarkable talents. The chief guest of the event was Padmaja Chauhan (IPS), Additional Director General of Police. Special guests included Archana Gaharwar (IAS), Ruchita Choudhary (IPS), Ratnesh Singh (Director of Finance), and Anil Singh, honored with the Gomti Ratna Award, former manager of National Degree College Lucknow, and currently a member of the working committee at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur.
The event was further graced by the presence of representatives from prominent institutions, leading social workers, and famous artists. Notable attendees included renowned actor Aniruddh Dave, international designer Kirti Singh Rathore, Padma Shri Awardee Ram Chet Chaudhary, Aradhana- founder of the organization ‘Umeed’, Usha Vishwakarma from ‘Red Brigade’, and other prominent figures from Aakar IAS .
Organizer Samarendra Pratap Singh (Executive Director, NFCD) stated, “Our objective has always been to bring forth the talents of our country that have not yet received a proper platform. We witnessed how designs by students of Government Polytechnic Lucknow were showcased by national and international models on the ramp.”
He further added, “We saw how children from slum areas participated enthusiastically in this fashion show. These children have shown that with proper guidance and support, they can bring pride to Uttar Pradesh and India on a global stage.”
