Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C, Central Command chaired the Annual Road and Operational Works conference at Lucknow, on 5 March, 2025, in presence of Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, Director General Border Roads, with multi agency participation including ITBP and other stakeholders.
The conference reviewed the progress of critical border roads and infrastructure to enhance operational preparedness in the border areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
While paying homage to those who lost their lives in the Mana Avalanche, the DGBR thanked the Army Commander for the swift response of the Army during the calamity. He also outlined the various initiatives at the apex level to improve pace of implementation of projects.
The Army Commander emphasised the need of integrated planning in consultation with all stakeholders and large scale employment of technology to improve delivery. He also complimented all personnel of the Border Roads Organisation for their efforts in challenging terrain and working conditions.
