Samrasta Seva Sansthan Launches Campaign to Distribute 11,000 Eco-Friendly Sanitary Pads and Spread Cervical Cancer Awareness

TIL Desk Lucknow:👉 A major public awareness campaign titled “We Will Win – Beat Cervical Cancer, Save Every Woman” was organized by Samrasta Seva Sansthan Trust at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Research and Training Institute. As part of this campaign, a drive to distribute biodegradable sanitary napkins to 11,000 families was launched. Alongside this, distinguished individuals for their significant contributions to social service were honored with the ‘Jan Seva Ratna Alankaran’ award.

The program was especially focused on women’s health, menstrual hygiene, and cervical cancer awareness. The chief guest, Asim Arun, Minister of State for Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, congratulated the initiative and said that the program organized by Samrasta Seva Sansthan to promote biodegradable sanitary pads is a major contribution towards building a plastic-free India. He wished success for the campaign, emphasizing its importance for the future. He said this campaign would guide efforts to protect women from cervical cancer and menstrual hygiene issues while also benefiting the environment. He extended his best wishes for the campaign.

As a special guest, Baijnath Rawat, Chairman of the Scheduled Caste Commission, Uttar Pradesh, participated in the event. He said that this initiative is an inspiring step toward protecting the health of women from scheduled castes. He congratulated the Sansthan for taking up such a socially awakening cause.

Narendra Khajuri, Member of the Scheduled Caste Commission, Uttar Pradesh, and special guest at the event, said that we must educate women on sensitive topics like menstrual hygiene and cancer. He called the campaign a solid and impactful step in that direction.

Sunil Sharma, the founder of the Sansthan and the coordinator of the event, said that the goal is not merely to distribute sanitary napkins, but to build broad social awareness for protecting women’s health, dignity, and the environment. He also shared that this campaign is a strong effort to make women self-reliant and raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention.

Vice President Jyoti Pandey, who is actively involved in women empowerment and social leadership, was also present on the occasion.

Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission and a distinguished guest, said in her address that cleanliness, health, and dignity are every woman’s rights. The work being done through this campaign is not only spreading awareness but also inspiring women to become self-reliant and responsible citizens.

The founding members of Samrasta Seva Sansthan have played a key role in this initiative.
