TIL Desk Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s advisor Awnish Kumar Awasthi inspected Bharwara STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) located in the capital Lucknow. During this, he closely observed the entire functioning of the plant, understood it and analyzed various technical aspects. During this, officials of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban) and Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board were also present with him.
Mr. Awasthi took detailed information from the officials present on the spot about how the STP works, what are its various parameters, and how effective the system is. He also ensured that every process here is being done as per the prescribed standards and rules.
This STP is being operated under the “One City, One Operator” model, which is being operated by Suez India.
During the inspection, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), Mr. Raj Shekhar (IAS) was also present with Mr. Awasthi. He explained the working of Bharwara STP in detail and gave information about STP technology and various technical aspects. Apart from this, through a presentation, Project Director of Suez India, Mr. Rajesh Mathpal gave information about various works being done in Lucknow under the “One City, One Operator” scheme and also threw light on the technical aspects of STP.
On this visit, Superintendent Engineer of Jal Nigam (Urban), Mr. Shamim Akhtar, his other officers and technical team were also present.
Expressing satisfaction after the inspection, Mr. Awasthi said that the working of Bharwara STP is well organized and is working properly.
