CM Yogi drops 'Samajwadi' for 'Mukhyamantri' from govt. schemes

TIL Desk/National/Lucknow/ UP CM Yogi Adityanath regime has decided to do away with the word ‘Samajwadi’ from all government schemes and replace it with ‘Mukhyamantri’. “Samajwadi word will be dropped from Uttar Pradesh government schemes. Mukhyamantri yojna will be used now,” Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Siddharth Nath Singh told reporters in Luknow after a marathon meeting which continued till 1 am today.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed officials to ensure 24 hour electricity to every district headquarters. Apart from that villages and tehsils are to be provided uniterrupted electricity for 18 hours. A meeting between Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Uttar Pradesh Minister Srikant Sharma in this regard is scheduled to be held soon.

The Uttar Pradesh government has also given green signal to the long pending Jewar Airport project. The project was approved by the Majawati government, however, it was stalled as the Akhilesh Yadav government wanted a full functional airport in Agra rather than Jewar, some 55 km from Noida.
