Pepe confirms Madrid exit this summer

TIL Desk Sports/ Real Madrid defender Pepe has confirmed that he is all set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu club he joined from Porto in 2007. The 34-year-old revealed that he has offers from numerous clubs from England, including Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, who have been monitoring his situation for some time.

Pepe, who will be out of the contract at the end of this month, was never offered the two-year deal he was hoping for at Madrid and it seemed that this is the reason behind his decision to move on.

“It is clear that I will not continue at Real Madrid. One stage is over and, from now on, another one will start. There are more offers, also from England,” .

According to reports, Pepe was on brink of joining Inter Milan before PSG boss Unai Emery hijacked a two-year deal with him. Pepe, however, insisted that he is yet to agree to a deal with the Paris-based club. Meanwhile, Pepe also took a parting shot at Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
