Adani Group commissions 50 mw UP solar plant

TIL Desk/Business/New Delhi/ The Adani group today announced the commissioning of a 50 mw solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh under the National Solar Mission Scheme with an investment of Rs 315 crore.

The string inverter technology used is the first of its kind in UP with crystalline silicon modules that allow miniature level control of solar power generation, the group said in a statement.

According to the statement, the transmission line runs up to a stretch of 21.5 km. The power generated by this plant will be evacuated by 132 kv transmission line to UPTCL (UP Transmission Corporation).

The project has created job opportunities — both direct and indirect. “We are moving closer to our aim of revolutionising the renewable energy sector in India,” said Jayant Parimal, CEO, Renewable Energy Business, Adani Group, in a statement.
