Union Cabinet reshuffle tomorrow

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi-The much-awaited Union Cabinet reshuffle will take place on Tuesday. It is believed that more representation would be given to poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. Principal spokesperson of the government Frank Noronha tweeted that “cabinet expansion” will take place tomorrow at 11 AM.

Union Ministers Vijay Sampla and Nihal Chand Meghwal from Rajasthan are likely to be axed. Leaders likely to be inducted into Modi Cabinet are Purushottam Rupala, SS Ahluwalia, Ramdas Athawale, Anupriya Patel, Ajay Tamta, Krishna Raj, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Arjun Ram Meghwal and PP Chaudhary. A high-level Bharatiya Janata Party meeting will take place on Monday at the party’s headquarter. Party president Amit Shah will attend the meet.

On June 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reviewed the performance of various ministries in spending budgetary allocations and implementing schemes in the past two years and asked his colleagues to ensure schemes be tailored to benefit masses.
