Imad Wasif, grandson of legendary Urdu poet Munawwar Rana and son of Samajwadi Party leader Sumaiya Rana, has completed his LLB (Hons) from the University of London and is now in the final stage of receiving the official title of Barrister in the United Kingdom.
Imad completed his schooling from the prestigious La Martiniere College Lucknow before pursuing a degree in Political Science from Aligarh Muslim University. He later moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher legal education and professional Bar training.
After successfully completing his LLB (Hons), Imad earned selection into the highly competitive Barrister Training Course with LLM in the UK, regarded as one of the most demanding professional legal qualifications. He is currently completing the final stage leading to the prestigious official “Call to the Bar” certification.
With this achievement, Imad Wasif is expected to become the only person from Lucknow to receive the official British title of Barrister through the traditional “Call to the Bar” route in recent times.
His achievement is being regarded as a proud moment for Lucknow and an inspiration for students aspiring towards international legal education and advocacy.
