TIL Desk/National/Lucknow-In the backdrop of the Indian Army’s ‘surgical strikes’ across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir to neutralise terrorists and the coming festival season, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav today chaired a high level meeting on law and order situation.
A state government spokesman said keeping in view the prevailing sensitive time, the CM had chaired the meeting, wherein, he reviewed the whole situation and took necessary feedback from police and administrative officials.
Stressing on the need to spruce up the intelligence network, Yadav underlined all wings of the security establishment maintain close coordination amongst themselves and ensure vigil on important installations, while also firmly dealing with rumour mongers in the state.
He directed officials to be vigilant in view of the coming festive season that spans Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra and Muharram. The CM has ordered for extra vigil in the busy markets and fairs during the festival season.
