Mumbai: Nisarga begins landfall near Alibaug, 72 kmph wind speed in Colaba

TIL Desk/National/Mumbai/ The center of the severe Cyclone Nisarga is very close to Maharashtra coast. Landfall process started and it will be completed during next 3 hours. The northeast sector of the eye of severe cyclonic storm is entering into land.

In its latest update, IMD has said, “NISARGA is making the landfall south of Alibag now. Strong winds of 120-140 hmph and heavy rains being observed in the eye wall of the cyclonic storm. The wall of the eye is a fast rotating (anti-clockwise) mass of deep convective clouds wrapped around the eye of the storm.” The cyclonce landfall will continue for 3 hours.

IMD has said during the landfall in Alibag, Colaba in Mumbai has recorded 72 kmph wind speed. Under the influence of the severe cyclonic storm, Harnai has recorded 74 kmph wind speed.
