Indo-Nepal ties bound by 'Roti-Beti', No power in world can break it: Rajnath Singh

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ Amid tensions between India and Nepal, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday that the government will sort out  any misunderstanding between the two countries through dialogue. “If there is any misunderstanding between India and Nepal, then we will sort it out through dialogue,” said Singh.

Speaking at a virtual rally of the BJP in Uttarakhand, he further said, “Indo-Nepal ties are not ordinary, we are bound together by ‘roti-beti’ and no power in world can break it.”

“Our relations are not only historical and cultural, but also spiritual, and India can never forget it,” he said. “How can relations between India and Nepal break!”

India also recently took up with Nepal the killing of an Indian by Nepalese border guards on Friday in a border area near Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
