TIL Desk/National/Kolkata/ Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday announced the Trinamool Congress’s candidate list for 291 seats out of 294 constituencies in West Bengal. The remaining three seats, all in Darjeeling, will be contested by TMC allies.
The list of candidates has 50 women and 42 Muslim candidates, she announced. “I will contest from Nandigram, and my party colleague Sovandeb Chattopadhyay will be fighting from Bhawanipore seat,” Banerjee said. “I am going to Nandigram on 9th March. On 10th March, I will file the nomination at Haldia.”
“I thank Tejashwi Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, Hemant Soren and Shiv Sena for extending their support to me,” she added.
