TIL Desk Abu Dhabi:ЁЯСЙThe glamour of Indian cinema is all set to return to Abu Dhabi, as the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards gears up for its 27th edition in January 2027. With some of Bollywood’s biggest names, spectacular performances, music and entertainment, IIFA 2027 promises two days of celebration at Yas Island.
The event will be held on January 22 and 23, 2027, at the iconic Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, marking IIFA’s fourth showcase in the destination. The return of IIFA was officially announced during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026. The event is being presented in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral.
The star-studded line-up is expected to be one of the major highlights of the celebration. Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal will be part of the IIFA 2027 celebrations, bringing together glamour, entertainment and the spirit of Indian cinema on one global stage.
H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, described IIFA’s return as a reflection of the strong relationship between India and Abu Dhabi, while Taghrid Alsaeed, Executive Director – Marketing, Communications and Events at Miral, highlighted the special connection between IIFA and Yas Island.
IIFA Founder/Director Andre Timmins said the 2027 edition will be bigger, with larger stars, enhanced experiences and greater fan engagement, taking the celebration beyond the arena.
For fans eagerly waiting to be part of the spectacle, tickets for IIFA 2027 will go on sale on September 18, 2026, at 10am UAE time.
