TIL Desk Lucknow:ЁЯСЙMax Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, has launched its dedicated Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery programme, introducing VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution (Johnson & Johnson) for knee and hip replacement procedures. The initiative aims to strengthen access to advanced orthopaedic care in Uttar Pradesh through technology-assisted surgery and specialised clinical expertise.

The VELYS™ system assists surgeons in planning and performing joint replacement procedures, including Total Knee Replacement, Partial Knee Replacement and Total Hip Replacement. For knee replacement, the system does not require a pre-operative CT scan, helping simplify surgical planning while allowing surgeons to retain control over clinical and perioperative decisions.

Robotic-assisted joint replacement can support precise implant positioning and personalised surgical planning, with the potential to improve joint function and support post-operative recovery. The approach combines advanced technology with the surgeon’s clinical expertise to address individual patient needs.

Commenting on the launch, Prof. (Col.) Narinder Kumar, Senior Director – Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement Surgery said, “The launch of our Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery programme reflects our commitment to bringing advanced technology and specialised orthopaedic care closer to patients in Lucknow and across Uttar Pradesh.
