Modern Study Facilities Being Expanded Across 11,350 Gram Panchayats in UP

* Over 80,000 Digital Learning Resources to Support Preparation for Competitive Examinations

TIL Desk Lucknow:👉The Uttar Pradesh Government is continuously taking effective steps to provide rural youth with access to quality and modern educational resources. As part of this initiative, the Panchayati Raj Department is establishing hi-tech digital libraries in a phased manner across 11,350 Gram Panchayats in the state.

The objective of these libraries is to provide students and young people in rural areas with modern study facilities within their own villages, enabling them to prepare for competitive examinations, develop new skills and access digital learning resources.

Under the first phase of the scheme, the supply of books has been completed in all 75 districts, while the supply of furniture has been completed in 72 districts. So far, books have been provided to 11,350 Gram Panchayats, and modern furniture has been installed in 11,321 Gram Panchayats.

An investment of approximately ₹4 lakh is being made in each digital library, covering the provision of books, IT equipment and modern furniture. Students will have access to more than 80,000 digital learning resources to support their preparation for competitive examinations. These resources will include e-books, video lectures, audio content, digital learning modules and interactive quizzes.

The Digital Library Scheme is a landmark initiative aimed at providing rural youth with better opportunities in education and employment. The Government’s objective is to ensure that no talented student from a village is left behind due to a lack of resources.

Through modern study facilities and digital learning resources, the Government remains committed to making rural youth self-reliant, capable and competitive. A digital library is not merely a library it is a platform for transforming the dreams of rural youth into reality.

The Panchayati Raj Department is working towards ensuring that students in every Gram Panchayat have access to a quality learning environment supported by modern digital resources.
