TIL Desk Mumbai:👉Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced Nuvama Private as the official Title Sponsor for the T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League. The partnership is being seen as a major step towards strengthening the league’s commercial expansion and brand value. Both tournaments will be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium from June 1 to June 13.
According to the MCA, the agreement reflects the growing influence of the T20 Mumbai League and its strong identity in Indian domestic cricket. Since its launch in 2018, the franchise-based tournament has provided a major platform for emerging cricketers from Mumbai. Several players who participated in the league have gone on to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and international cricket. Cricket experts believe Mumbai remains one of India’s strongest talent-producing centers, and the T20 Mumbai League continues to play a key role in carrying forward that legacy.
One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming season will be the launch of the T20 Mumbai Women’s League. Introduced with the aim of promoting women’s cricket, the tournament is expected to provide a strong platform for emerging women cricketers to showcase their talent. MCA officials believe that hosting both the men’s and women’s competitions simultaneously could mark the beginning of a new era for Mumbai cricket.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik welcomed the partnership and said the association with a reputed institution like Nuvama Private reflects the league’s growing credibility and popularity. He stated that Mumbai has always remained at the heart of Indian cricket, and the league will continue to create world-class opportunities for young talent.
T20 Mumbai League Governing Council Chairman Rajdip Gupta said the league has evolved beyond being just a cricket tournament and has now become a strong sporting and commercial brand. He added that the support of a major institution like Nuvama Private highlights the increasing confidence of the corporate sector in the league’s popularity and long-term potential.
