In new video Jadhav says, Pakistan is taking care of him

TIL Desk/World/Islamabad/ The Pakistan Foreign Office released a new video of Kulbhushan Jadhav on Thursday where he can be purportedly seen thanking the Pakistan government for its gesture in allowing him to meet his wife and mother, last month.

In the video, Jadhav appears to be saying that his mother and wife were happy to meet him. “She was satisfied with my health. I am okay here and they don’t harm me,” Jadhav is heard saying.

“I said don’t worry Mummy. They (Pakistan) are taking care of me, they have not touched me. She believed me once she saw me personally,” he said in the video.

Almost as an afterthought, Jadhav added, “I have to say one very important thing to the Indian public and Indian govt, and for people in the Navy that my commission has not gone, I am a commissioned officer of the Indian.”

On Jadhav’s meeting with his family, the Ministry of External Affairs has accused Pakistan of violating mutual understandings and said the Indian national appeared coerced and under considerable stress during the tightly-controlled interaction.
