TIL Desk Sports/ Brazilian superstar forward Neymar Jr. has said on social media that the groin injury he suffered in the first few minutes of a friendly against Cameroon was not serious.
The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star was visibly in pain when he left the field at Stadium MK outside London before the 10-minute mark of Tuesday’s game, which Brazil won 1-0. His replacement, Richarlison, scored the game’s only goal shortly before halftime.
“Thank you to everyone who sent messages wishing me a good recovery. I don’t think it was anything serious,” Neymar wrote on Instagram on Tuesday night.
Referring to the Brazilian national side’s performance in 2018, the squad’s captain said he and his teammates were happy with the work they put in despite their elimination in the quarter-finals by Belgium at the World Cup in Russia.
