Megha Agarwal Wins Hearts at Mrs Uttar Pradesh – Queen of Virtue

TIL Desk Entertainment/ The beauty pageant, Mrs. Uttar Pradesh – Queen of Virtue was organized at The Centrum, Lucknow earlier last month in December. The event was graced by Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor Lucknow. The event was a first of its kind beauty pageant in the city providing a platform for women and their empowerment. The main objective of the event is to provide a platform to the women of Uttar Pradesh so that they can uplift and empower other women along with them.

22 women were selected as finalists in this beauty pageant and all of them were judged on the basis of beauty, intelligence and virtues.  But one contestant who stood out and made a mark on the judges was Mrs Megha Agarwal.  With her simplicity interspersed with grace and beauty, Megha clearly emerged as Mrs Gracious.
 
It has never been easy for married women to juggle work, family and household but there are some women who break barriers and take up challenges to lead by example. Megha is one of them. She impressed the judges with not just her intelligence and poise but also how she is setting and example for other women from her community to come forward and showcase their talent. Megha comes from a traditional joint family in Lucknow and is married to an industrialist. Along with managing her two children, extended family, she is also the Director in her company and is actively involved in its decision-making and workings.

Speaking about her achievement and setting an example for other women Megha shared, “The platform gave me confidence and helped me explore myself as an individual. It was the first time I participated in such an event. Many women dream to be part of such platforms but due to society’s mindset, they fear to initiate. I did … so anyone can! All this happened with the support of my kids, husband and sister. Preeti Yadav, director and founder of MUPQV is a big support too.”
 
We hope her win and success encourages all those women out there who are beautiful inside and out and only need that little push to go and conquer the world.
