On the auspicious occasion of Navratri and Dussehra, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brijesh Pathak, inaugurated the exhibition of special party wear apparel organized by New Craft Silk India at the Safed Baradari in Kaiserbagh by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. This nine-day exhibition will run from September 25 to October 3.
During the event, organizers Manas Acharya and Javed Maqsood welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet of flowers. Mr. Pathak visited various stalls and inquired about the apparel and handloom products. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister also honored women working in various fields on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Pathak said, “The availability of a variety of apparel for women under one roof during the festive season is a commendable initiative. My heartfelt congratulations to the weavers. We must promote Swadeshi.”
The exhibition features garments made from 100% pure natural fibers – silk, cotton, and linen. Banarasi, tassar, kantha, Garhwal, Chanderi, Maheshwari, Kota, Jaipur Bagru prints, Bengaluru crepe silks, Kalamkari, Kanchipuram, Pochampalli ikkat, Venkatagiri, Narayanpet, Uppada Jamdhani, Paithani, Kolkata boutique, Champa Kosa sarees, and various cotton dress materials and lifestyle garments are highlights.
The products of weavers from various states have a unique identity in this exhibition and are being made available to the people of Lucknow at affordable prices.
