India’s star cricketer suffered multiple injuries when his car collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, early on Friday. “Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. His condition remains stable and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun.
“He will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment. BCCI is in constant touch with Rishabh’s family while the medical team is in close contact with the doctors currently treating Rishabh.”
The 25-year-old, who was going to his home in Roorkee, was taken to a local hospital. “Pant met with an accident in Manglaur in Haridwar district when his car hit a divider at 5.30 am on Friday,” Haridwar SSP Ajai Singh said. “He was rushed to Saksham hospital in nearby Rorokee from where he was referred later to Max Hospital, Dehradun,” he added.
