TIL Desk/National/Lucknow/ UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma met the Unnao rape victim at KGMU, Lucknow. “The government is with the family of the victim. A FIR has been registered as they said. The family had submitted a parole application for the uncle of the victim. The court has taken a decision and he will come and take part in the cremation.
The Unnao rape victim, her two aunts and the lawyer were in a car travelling to Rae Bareli when a speeding truck rammed into it. While her aunts succumbed to injuries, she and her lawyer were grievously injured. The parole for the uncle is for the cremation of his wife, one of the girl’s aunts killed in the accident.
The UP police have already registered a murder case against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, his brother Manoj Singh Sengar and eight others in connection with the road accident. The family of the girl on Tuesday launched a protest outside the King George’s Medical University trauma center where the victim is being treated, seeking punishment for BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar.
