TIL Desk Bollywood/ Sachin Tendulkar announced on his Twitter handle that his biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is set to release on May 26, 2017. The first poster of the film was released on April 2016 and the name was announced by the batting great through a Twitter contest earlier.
The poster had gone viral as soon as Sachin posted it with names such as Shah Rukh Khan, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli and so on expressing their interest in watching the film. Sachin Tendulkar retired from all forms of cricket in 2013. His autobiography, ‘Playing it My Way’ was released shortly after.
Sachin has since been involved in various media events, sharing the experiences that he has had over his illustrious 24-year career.
Sachin Tendulkar had made his debut for the national side in 1989 against Pakistan at the age of 16. In the years that followed, he became one of the most destructive batsmen in the world. As age caught on, so did injuries and niggles and so, Tendulkar changed his outright aggressive style of batting to a more mature approach.
