Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit AOC-in-C Central Air Command and Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta GOC-in-C Central Command flew a formation mission in Su-30 MKI aircraft on 29 Mar 25. The mission took off from Air Force Station Bakshi-ka-Talab in the CAC AoR, with a view to enhance jointness and synergy between the two services.
The complex mission was planned and executed over the mountainous terrain in Uttarakhand and Himachal sector with the AOC-in-C leading the formation and the GOC-in-C occupying the rear cockpit of one of the Sukhoi ac.
The GOC-in-C was familiarized with the capabilities of the Su 30 MKI. He was also show the reach and lethality of the platform in the rugged terrain of the Central Sector as well as the precise and rapid response of air power operating against simulated contemporary threats.
Occasions of this nature mark the cohesiveness of the Indian Armed Forces and serve to enhance the unified approach towards optimal utilization of all resources among the services towards the common goal and deepen mutual understanding of the capabilities and challenges of sister services. After the sortie, the GOC-in-C appreciated the professional competence and operational approach of IAF’s air warriors.
