TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ Arvind Kejriwal has launched another volley of attacks via micro-blogging site Twitter today. The target this time is Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. The two have maintained a poor working relationship for quite some time now. However, Kejriwal seems to have taken his comments one step too far this time.
Jung seems to have gotten on Kejriwal’s nerves when he appointed IAS officer Dilraj Kaur as Member Secretary of to the DCW. The move came eight days after Kejriwal had sought the removal of incumbent Alka Dewan. He had termed her appointment as “unconstitutional” and against the consent of the Delhi government.
To display his dissatisfaction with the decision Kejriwal took to Twitter to compare Najeeb Jung to Adolf Hitler. He then wrote that he was following the footsteps of his masters Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He further added fuel to the comments by hinting that no matter how much he tried, Jung would never become India’s Vice-President since Modi would never give a Muslim the post.
The first in a series of posts read, “LG is acting like Hitler, following in footsteps of his masters Mr Modi n Amit Shah,” He then added in Hindi, “In order to become the Vice-President, Najeeb Jung has sold his soul to Modi. Jung may do what he likes, but Modi will never make a Muslim the Vice-President.”
