Advani turned 89th, Modi, Shah greeted him

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani today turned 89. On the 89th birthday of LK Advani, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described him as an ‘inspiration’ and a leader who served the country for decades. BJP President Amit Shah also greeted LK Advani on his birthday. LK Advani was born on November 9, 1927 in Karachi, Pakistan. Narendra Modi arrived at the residence of LK Advani to wish him on his birthday.

LK Advani, who started his political career as a volunteer of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), served as Minister of Home Affairs from 1998 to 2004. Additionally, LK Advani also served as Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Advani was the Leader of the Opposition in the 10th Lok Sabha and 14th Lok Sabha.

“Wishing our inspiration, one of India’s tallest leaders who has served India tirelessly & diligently, Shri LK Advani ji on his birthday,” Narendra Modi tweeted on LK Advani’s birthday. “I pray to God that Advani ji is blessed with a long and healthy life,” Modi further wrote. “Warm wishes to respected Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji on his birthday. May god bless you with long and healthy life,” BJP President Amit Shah tweeted.
