TIL Desk/National/Mehsana/ Speaking to a crowd at Mehsana, the Congress vice president accused PM Narendra Modi of accepting bribe while he was the CM of Gujarat. He claimed to have information on papers which even the Income Tax department has its signature on. Speaking of Narendra Modi’s alleged involvement in corruption, Gandhi says, “IT Department raided Sahara Company on 22 Nov, 2014. As per record with IT,Rs 2.5 crores was given to PM Modi on 30 Oct ’13; Rs 5cr on 12 Nov ’13; Rs 2.5 crores on 27 Nov ’13; Rs 5 crores on 29 Nov ’13. The records are with IT Dept for last 2 and half years yet no action has been taken.”
Gandhi had yesterday commented that the “RBI changes rules like Modi changes clothes.” This was a clear reference to the varied regulations brought on by the Finance Ministry and the RBI post demonetisation.
Gujarat has the government of only a few people. These are the same people who go with Modi on his foreign tours. Even Delhi has the government of only 15-20 people,” Said Rahul Gandhi
The Congress vice president stated that black money, for which the demonetisation was done, is only with the people who Modi is friends with. It is only with 1 per cent people in India and Narendra Modi knows this.
Gandhi also said that in every speech he (Modi) says that India’s black money is in international bank accounts and had promised that he would get this money back. Gandhi stated that Modi hasn’t talked about cash but about the dollars that is in Swiss bank accounts.
