TIL Desk/National/Gaziabad/ Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha assured the country on Saturday that the IAF is fully capable of countering any security threat. He was speaking on the occasion of 84th Air Force Day celebrations at Hindon Air base in Ghaziabad. Air Chief Marshal Raha said the attack on Pathankot airbase is a stark reminder of the times we live in.
“Acquisition of 36 Rafale aircrafts in next few years could greatly enhance our operational capability in near term,” he said. Earlier, Raha conferred Vayu Sena Medals, Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry) and Vishist Seva Medals after inspecting the guard of honour. With the Indian Air Force celebrating its 84th anniversary, at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, a team of helicopters called ‘Sarang’ displayed ’aerobatic’ skill.
A team, consisting of four ‘Sarang’ helicopters, displayed heart-stopping aerobatic performance to celebrate the 84th anniversary of the Indian Air Force. During their performance, one of the ‘Sarang’ chopper rose at a perpendicular angle to the ground, and turned around to swoop nose-first towards the ground. A R Rahman’s ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam,’ played in the background gave goosebumps to the viewers.
