He says the reason he resigned was because he was told that to stay away from Punjab. “Sidhu, Punjab se door raho,” he says alluding to a bird returning to its nest. “How can I turn my face away from Punjab?” he asks. “Punjab is my home, I cannot leave Punjab,” he says. “I cannot abandon people who voted for me. “
