PM Modi in Sri Lanka warns World against ‘ideologies of hate’

TIL Desk/National/Colombo/ Speaking in Colombo on the occasion of International Vesak Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alerted everyone against ‘ideologies of hate’. Without naming anyone particularly, PM Modi said their proponent were not ready for a dialogue. Modi said that it is not the conflict between the nations that disrupts peace. PM highlighted “hate and their proponents” as it can be dismissed only by dialogues and will not pave way for deaths and demolition.

Narendra Modi also warned everyone about rising arc of violence, saying, the strongest challenge for sustainable world peace is the mindset which has programmed itself in hate and violence. This point was also highlighted keeping Kashmir in mind. PM reminded the leaders of the world that Buddha’s messages can curb the arc of violence all over the world.

PM, on Buddha, stated, that our region is blessed to have the teachings of Buddha which are a priceless gift, adding, Buddhism is installed in our governance, culture, and philosophy.  PM Modi asked Sri Lankan authorities to look up to India as a friend and partner that will support their nation-building endeavours.
