TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ PM Modi will on Monday pay a one-day visit to Madhya Pradesh to attend the concluding ceremony of the ‘Namami Devi Narmada Sewa Yatra’ in Anooppur district.
Modi will take a chopper ride from Jabalpur in the afternoon to reach Amarkantak to participate in the event, which will mark the end of the Madhya Pradesh government’s pet project.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will receive the PM at the Dumna airport in Jabalpur. In the event, the PM will unveil a roadmap for steps to be taken for the conservation of the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh.
He will also take part in ‘Narmada Pujan’ and address a gathering, an official associated with the yatra said. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister’s visit, he said. The Prime Minister will return to Delhi from Jabalpur at around 5 pm. The Narmada river originates at Amarkantak.
