TIL Desk/National/New Delhi-The ongoing protests in Kashmir was taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, second time this session with senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad slamming the prime minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre on the deplorable situation in Kashmir.
The prime minister is so close, yet so far. He comes to the complex everyday at 10 am. His room is barely a minute from both the Houses… earlier PMs would rush to the House if there was a pressing discussion on any issue, but this prime minister has not attended
* We did not hear PM’s statement on Dalit issues here in the Parliament. We got to hear about his views from Telangana… I don’t know when Madhya Pradesh has become the capital of this country and when Parliament shifted there for the PM to address Kashmiris from Madhya Pradesh
*The PM tweets and expresses his condolences if anything happens in a far-off nation, but he addressed the Kashmir situation from MP and not from the Parliament
* We talk about Kashmir being an integral part of India, but there needs to be integration of heart and minds.
