TIL Desk New Delhi/ As the new year unfolds, India’s most prominent CSR foundations are joining forces to tackle the nation’s significant literacy challenge. With the aim of supporting the government’s National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN Bharat Mission), these organizations are convening at the Synergy Summit 2.0, a critical event aimed at synergizing efforts to address the pressing need for foundational literacy and numeracy across the country.
The current scenario remains daunting, with India halfway through the 26/27 deadline to ensure universal foundational literacy and numeracy among Indian children. To catalyze progress towards this ambitious goal, DEVI (Dignity Education Vision International) Sansthan is organizing the Synergy Summit 2.0.
This pivotal event is slated to take place on January 11th and 12th, 2024, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The summit will bring together heads of CSR initiatives, thought leaders, educators, and policymakers to strategize and scale up efforts in the realm of education.
Chief Guest to unfurl the banner of the event is K.P FABIAN, Former Indian Ambassador and Indian Diplomat along with special guests including Armin Mešinović, First Secretary (Deputy Head of Mission) of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of India, Maza Wiyaou MENDELEI, Attaché of the Mission, High Commission of Togo.
“The Synergy Summit 2.0 serves as a platform for collaboration and collective action towards transforming the educational landscape of India,” stated a spokesperson from DEVI Sansthan. “By fostering partnerships and aligning strategies, we aim to drive substantial progress in achieving foundational literacy and numeracy for all children in the country.”
The summit will feature enlightening discussions, innovative solutions, and impactful initiatives aimed at reshaping the future of education in India. Participants will include top notches from CSR and NGO world to address the complex challenges hindering literacy and numeracy.
