TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ After continued ruckus over demonitisation and controversy related to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju controversy, the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day. Soon after, the Opposition parties began a joint media briefing that included Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. During the meeting, Rahul was quoted saying that since past one month, the Opposition is trying to have a debate in the Parliament but Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government doesn’t want that to happen.
Rahul took a dig at Narendra Modi and said that the Prime Minister is afraid that if he lets Rahul speak and then his(Narendra Modi’s) balloon will burst. Rahul Gandhi also claimed that he has some personal information about corruption done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul said he (Rahul) wants to bring into light in the Parliament, but the government is not allowing them to do so. “Pradhanmantri ji ke baare mein bhrashtachar ka kuch personal info hai hamaare paas, jo vo hume sadan mein rakhne nahi de rahe”, he said.
The Congress Vice President asked the government to allow opposition to speak in the house. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi owes country an explanation and cannot keep running away to pop concerts and public meeting.
