Online ticket sales for Vijender's fight commences

TIL Desk Sports/ The online ticket sales for Indian boxing star Vijender Singh’s WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight title defence — ‘Night of the Champions’ on December 17 — began today. The tickets are available on www.bookmyshow.com. Tickets for general stands are priced at Rs. 1000, Premium Stand for Rs. 1500, VIP Stand Rs. 2000, Gold Ringside tickets for Rs.10,000 and Platinum Ringside for Rs. 15000.

There will be an early bird discount of 10 per cent till November 30. Around 5000 tickets are up for sale for the event. Undefeated Vijender will defend his title against former world champion and current Intercontinental champion Francis Cheka. Vijender had won his title defeating Australian boxer Kerry Hope on July 16 at the same venue.

Commenting on this, Neerav Tomar, Promoter, IOS Boxing Promotions said, “Seeing the grand success of the last fight night, we are sure that the loyalty of boxing fans has increased in our country, since our last fight night held in July and the sport is doing comparatively better.” Vijender has seven wins under his belt, with six being Knockouts while his opponent — the 34-year-old experienced boxer from Tanzania — is a veteran of 43 fights with 32 wins including 17 KOs.
