- There is nothing quite like the CMS Children’s Film Festival— General opinion of students, teachers and guardians
TIL Desk Lucknow:👉At the International Children’s Film Festival (ICFF-2025) being held at City Montessori School, Kanpur Road auditorium, students, teachers, and parents who came to seek inspiration from educational films from 102 countries unanimously expressed that CMS’s Children’s Film Festival is truly unique. Not only does it provide healthy entertainment for the youth, but it also imparts lessons in life values and character excellence. Parents noted that not everything can be learned from books or at home. These children’s films from across the world encompass various aspects of life, equipping students with the ability to choose between right and wrong. Over 400 educational children’s films from 102 countries are being screened free of cost during this seven-day festival.
The fifth day of the festival began with a lamp-lighting ceremony. CMS students showcased a
blend of educational and cultural programs, spreading the message of moral and character excellence. On this occasion, renowned personalities from the film industry actress Renita Kapoor and actors Atul Srivastava and Sunny Raj Kapoor enhanced the glory of the event with their presence and encouraged the students with great enthusiasm. Under ICFF–2025, screenings of children’s films are being held not only in the main auditorium at CMS Kanpur Road but also in seven mini-auditoriums. Films made in different languages from various countries are accompanied by simultaneous translations in English and Hindi, allowing children to easily grasp the storylines. As these screenings are free of cost, children from all economic backgrounds can sit under one roof and receive life education together.
Today, the film screenings began with the Russian children’s film “Marwa and the Moon”, directed by
Eemaan Qadri. Other inspiring and entertaining films shown included Your Life Now for Your Children, Bapu Ke Saath, Where the White Cranes Dance, Whisper of the Forest, Soap Bubbles, Miracle at Christmas Night, Summer Diary, Agar Magar Kintu Lekin Parantu, Virasat, Ahsas, There Is No One Here, Pure Magic, Life Is Beautiful, and Sahi Raah. Around 12,000 students from 40 different schools, including The Rainbow Model School, Lalbagh Girls’ Inter College, Rajkiya Balika Inter College, Army Public School, Isabella Thoburn College, and Kendriya Vidyalaya, attended the festival today and drew inspiration from the educational films.

interacted with journalists and shared their views. Actress Renita Kapoor expressed her appreciation for such a grand event being organized in Lucknow for the moral and character development of children, stating that the CMS management truly deserves praise. Actor Atul Srivastava said that this event also helps guide parents and teachers toward a more positive outlook. Similarly, actor Sunny Raj Kapoor stated that the educational films shown here will leave a lasting impression on children’s minds, there is no doubt about that. Festival Director of ICFF–2025, R. K. Singh, informed that the inauguration of the sixth day of the festival will be held tomorrow, Saturday, April 12 at 9:00 am in the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, actress Rooee Jalgaonkar and actors Ravi Bhushan and Hemwant Tiwari will be present to encourage the children. Mr. Singh further stated that this festival is now moving towards its successful conclusion. Governor, Anandiben Patel, will grace the closing ceremony of this International Children’s Film Festival as the Chief Guest and will inaugurate it on Sunday, April 13 at 9:00 am at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.
