Star Plus marked a significant milestone today in Lucknow with a well-attended press conference for its new fiction offering, Tod Kar Dil Mera – Season 1, a limited series that premieres today at 7 PM.
The press conference was graced by the show’s producer Sachin Pandey, along with the lead cast Anurima Chakraborty, who essays the role of Raushni, and Ashish Raghav, seen as Raj. Addressing the media, the team spoke at length about the concept, the creative vision, and the conscious effort to tell a relationship story that feels authentic, contemporary, and something that hits the chord with the audience along with staying relevant.
Tod Kar Dil Mera – Season 1 explores an arranged marriage at its core, but with a refreshingly different lens. Raj and Raushni come from contrasting ideologies and worldviews, yet find themselves in a marriage that is functional, respectful, and seemingly happy.
Shot extensively in live locations across Lucknow, the series captures the city’s culture, architecture, and everyday rhythm, adding depth and realism to the narrative. The makers emphasized that the decision to shoot on real locations was integral to maintaining the honesty of the story and grounding the characters in a believable world.
