On the auspicious occasion of Christmas and New Year, a special exhibition of silk garments crafted by weavers from various states was held at the historic Safed Baradari in Kaiserbagh. Organized by New Craft Silk India, the expo, which runs until January 4th and 26th, is a unique confluence of Indian handloom culture and nature-friendly garments.
Garments such as Banarasi, Chanderi, Tassar, Kanchipuram, Ikkat, Paithani, and Jaipuri Bagru prints, as well as products made from pure natural fibers bearing the Silk/Handloom Mark, were the main attractions. The exhibition was inaugurated on Monday by fashion creator and model Divya/Ruby.
The exhibition will showcase exquisite silk garments from weavers from various states of the country, a unique blend of traditional crafts and modern design. Organizers Manas Acharya and Javed Maqsood stated that the objective of this event is to provide a platform to weavers and introduce people to the rich heritage of Indian silk.
