TIL Desk Lucknow/ Alliance Clubs International, District 137, Luckow celebrated TEEJ UTSAV & TEEJ QUEEN CONTEST yesterday with great fanfare. The event which saw the presence of large number of women and men all clad in traditional green attire, was organised by the District Governor, Priyanka Dikshit.
Teej Utsav, a celebration of Indian tradition and culture had interwoven within, a message of Women Empowerment. Each woman is beautiful. That was the message ALLINACE Clubs International wanted to give out and thus every lady was given a crown, a Sache and a title each like Teej Queen Beautiful 2023, Teej Queen Charming 2023, Teej Queen Beautiful Hair, Teej Queen Dazzling etc.
The main winners however were chosen in two categories. Teej Queen and Teej Queen Senior 2023. Pooja Bhagat was crowned the Teej Queen followed by Ruchi Agarwal and Manisha Singh in the second and third places respectively.
Sandhya Rastogi, Principal Yashoda Girls Inter College was adjudged the Senior Queen. Dr. Prerna Mitra, principal G D Goenka was adjudged the First Runner Up and Babita Singh was the Second Runner Up.
Men, smartly clad in Traditional Indian attire too had an opportunity to walk the ramp. Dinesh Mathur, Sanjay Srivastava and P K Raje were respectively first, second and third winners.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW were RJ NIDHI & RJ KHUSHBOO from Radio Mirchi who anchored the Crowning Segment beautifully helped by Manjula Khare, Deepali Raj and Monika Singh. And as every woman was crowned, RJs got their share too. RJ Nidhi was Teej Queen Gift of the Gab and RJ Khushboo was crowned Teej Queen Debonair.
Shirin Naaz, senior editor and writer, Shipra Anand, Senior Fashion Designer and Expert and Manju Anand, Senior Educationist were the judges. In a clear appreciation of external and inner beauty together, the contestants were chosen on the basis of their total personality.
And then there was the crowning moment for the judges too. Shirin was crowned Teej Queen Charming, Shipra Anand was Teej Queen Versatile and Manju Anand, Teej Queen Responsible.
There were song and dance sequences also based on the theme of Sawan. ,Sudhir Bhatnagar and Rachna Rachna Khare sang a duet and Azeem Khan sang a solo. Pinki and Reena Samaddar sang kajri folk songs. Sunita Srivastava, Sushma Srivastava, Manjula, Renu, Reena and all presented beautiful folk dances. And then there games….. so many to regale the audience with loads of prizes to be won. It was all thoroughly enjoyed by men and women alike.
The event too saw the presence of Founders of Alliance Dr. M S Bhatnagar, Ms. Madhu Bhatnagar, Dinesh Bhatnagar and Anita Bhatnagar. Sanjeev Bhatnagar, Arvind Bhatnagar, Jyoti Khare, Neha, Pratima Verma, Neelam Srivastava, Upasna Tripathi, Sudha Bajpai, Padma Sinha, Seema etc too marked their presence.
