TIL Desk Lucknow/ The Annual Naval ANO Conference was conducted on 16 April 2024 at 3 UP Naval NCC Unit, Lucknow. The conference was presided over by Captain (Indian Navy) Navendu Saxena, Commanding Officer of the unit, who briefed the ANOs and CTOs on the professional aspects related to training of naval NCC cadets during the year 2024-25, including naval camps, watermanship training, adventure activities, social service missions, and the forthcoming Annual Training Camp.
The Conference was attended by all Associate NCC Officers of premier educational institutions of Lucknow affiliated to Naval Unit NCC. These included Lt Cdr D K Singh, Sub Lt Pranav Mishra, IInd Officers Virendra Singh and Joseph Masih and IIIrd Officers Sudeep Banerjee, Devendra Singh, Sanjay Mishra and Vimlesh Gupta.
The Conference also served as a discussion platform for upcoming activities for Training Year 2024-25. A number of new training initiatives were decided, aimed at honing the cadets’ skills and certifications, encompassing physical fitness, leadership workshops, and specialized skill development sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer expressed gratitude to the Associate NCC Officers for their dedication and underscored the pivotal role they play in shaping the future of the cadets. He emphasized the importance of developing a culture of excellence and camaraderie within the cadets’ fraternity, calling upon all stakeholders to redouble their efforts in advancing the NCC’s noble mission.
