TIL Desk Lucknow:👉Brigadier Neeraj Punetha, Group Commander, Lucknow NCC Group visits on 19 June 24 at Combined Annual Training Camp ( CATC) conducted by 63 UP Battalion NCC from 12 to 21 June 2024 at SRMU Barabanki.
Brigadier Neeraj Punetha was welcomed by Col Harsh Kumar Jha, Commanding officer of 63 UP Battalion NCC and Lt. Col Rakesh Tiwari Adm Officer of Battalion. During the visit Brig Neeraj Punetha was also presented Guard of Honour by NCC cadets.
Brigadier Punetha expressed his admiration for the high standards of training and discipline maintained in the camp. The commander also assessed the unit’s training activities, observed the cadets’ discipline, and interacted with the cadets. The commander was briefed about the training activities conducted in the camp by the Commanding officer.
In his address to the camp, Brigadier NEERAJ PUNETHA, took the opportunity to engage with the cadets and discuss their experiences of the camp and briefed about various NCC activities and the significance of NCC in shaping the character and values of young individuals. He also praised the unit’s efforts in instilling leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility among its Cadets.
A cultural program was organised in mini auditorium, where cadets highlighted the rich diversity showcasing exceptional talent from various cultural backgrounds. The visit concluded with working lunch where commander interacted with the Associate NCC Officers and other staff of the university (SRMU) and held a fruitful discussion on expansion of NCC and offering of NCC as elective subject to Science and commerce stream students too.
