TIL Desk Lucknow/ Brigadier Ravi Kapoor, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Lucknow, inspected the Joint Annual Training Camp (CATC)-214 on 02 Aug 2022 conducted by 20 UP Girls Battalion NCC at AMC Center and College in Lucknow Cantonment. During this, Brigadier Ravi Kapoor took salute in the quarter guard. After that, he inspected the section formation taking place in the camp, display of battle drill and competition for setting up tents. Brigadier Ravi Kapoor inquired about the training being provided by the battalion to the cadets going to the Army Camp in Delhi and encouraged them.
Commanding Officer of 20 UP Girls Battalion NCC, Lucknow and Camp Commandant Col Vinod Joshi briefed about the training activities being conducted in the camp. At the same time, Camp Dandpal Captain Monika Srivastava gave information about the layout of the entire camp. Lieutenant (Dr) Preeti Chand Negi, Quartermaster gave complete information about camp langar, health-hygiene and food arrangements to Brigadier Ravi Kapoor. During this this visit, information was also given to the Group Commander about SSB, health-hygiene, disaster, flood-drought etc.
In the coming days of this camp, NCC cadets will be informed about the harassment of women by Shri Lakshmi Singh, IPS, IG Police, UP Government and the steps taken by the state government. Brigadier Ravi Kapoor was informed about the Platoon Weapon Attack display by the AMC Center. Brigadier Kapoor also visited the Infantry Weapon Display displayed by the cadets. Brigadier Ravi Kapoor congratulated and applauded all the training staff and ANOs for their physical, mental and spiritual stamina and perseverance keeping in view the all-round development of the cadets under Mission Shakti.
