- Grand “Run for Unity” Organized by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Uttar Pradesh; Over 2,000 Participants Join with Enthusiasm
TIL Desk Lucknow:👉To mark the birth centenary year celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a grand and inspiring “Run for Unity” was organized on Sunday by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Uttar Pradesh, at the ‘Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal’ (Social Change Memorial) in Lucknow. More than 2,000 participants aged 15 and above enthusiastically took part in the event, which aimed to propagate the spirit of national unity, communal harmony, social cohesion, physical health, and the “Fit India” campaign among the masses.
Commencing at 5:00 AM, the event saw participants competing with great zeal and sportsmanship across 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km ‘Run and Ride’ categories. The remarkable presence of participants from diverse backgrounds, castes, religions, and communities transformed the event into a powerful symbol of national unity and social harmony.
The event’s chief guest, *Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak*, praised the initiative, stating that Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s ideals of service, love, and humanity continue to provide a new direction to society today. He remarked that such events not only strengthen the resolve of the “Fit India” movement but also inspire the youth to adopt a disciplined, active lifestyle dedicated to nation-building. He also wholeheartedly commended the continuous service activities undertaken by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Uttar Pradesh, for the welfare of society.
Also present on the occasion were *Justice Attaur Rahman Masoodi of the Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench)* and *Chief Medical Officer, Lucknow, Dr. N. B.* …Singh*, **Dr. Rajiv Dixit, Director of Lokbandhu Hospital, **Shri Sachin Neb, President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Uttar Pradesh, **Vice President Shri Amitabh Saran*, other state-level office-bearers of the organization, and numerous devotees of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba as well as prominent citizens were present.
The event commenced with the chanting of ‘Omkaram’ three times and Vedic mantras. Subsequently, participants enthusiastically took part in a Zumba fitness session to warm up and then united to begin the “Run for Unity.” An atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, discipline, and positive energy prevailed throughout the event.
All registered participants were provided with complimentary T-shirts and BIB numbers. Participants who completed the run were honored with commemorative medals, participation certificates, energy drinks, and refreshments.
This event served as an inspiring tribute dedicated to the divine teachings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba—*”Love All, Serve All”* and *”Help Ever, Hurt Never.”* The program conveyed a message to society that *unity, service, love, harmony, and a healthy lifestyle* are the cornerstones of a strong, harmonious, and developed India.
Organized by the *Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Uttar Pradesh*, this grand “Run for Unity” proved to be not merely a sporting event, but a powerful mass movement aimed at propagating the values of social awareness, national integration, and selfless service among the people.
